KEEP ON TUNE: CUT COPY - ZONOSCOPE

La band è formata da Dan Whitford, Mitchell Scott e Tim Hoey torna con l'inizio di primavera sfornando un terzo album che sin dalle premesse, si manifesta con un'architettura più particolareggiata rispetto alle esperienze passate.
  
The band formed of Dan Whitford, Tim Hoey and Mitchell Scott comes back with the start of spring with a third album since the beginning, appears more complex, particular compared to past experiences. 

In uscita per l'australiana Modular, per intenderci, la stessa di Architecture in Helsinki, Wolfmother, Tame Impala, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, il disco si presenta subito con delle caratteristiche che ben lo differenziano dal precedente "In Ghost Colours" del 2008 registrato quasi come se fosse un lavoro da cameretta.

"Zonoscope" al contrario è un lavoro ben costruito in fase di produzione, l'approccio ai suoni si fa più complesso e raffinato ma nonostante ciò l'attitudine pop dell band di Melbourne rimane intatta e indiscutibile.

Le atmosfere topicali, i synth, una verve quasi sempre danzereccia, ricordano complessivamente Lcd Soundsystem e i Talking Heads più sperimentali. 

Perle dell'album a mio avviso sono "Blink And You'll Miss A Revolution" dai chiari sapori caraibici e la più newyorkese "Need You Now" che son sicuro, farà impazzire diversi dancefloors.

Released by the australian Modular Recordings, so to speak, the same as Architecture in Helsinki, Wolfmother, Tame Impala, Yeah Yeah Yeahs. The album is very different from the previous "In Ghost Colours" of 2008, more simple in construction phase.
"Zonoscope" to the contrary is a well-constructed work in production, the approach to sound gets more complex and refined, but despite this the attitude of the pop band from Melbourne remains intact and unquestionable.
The atmosphere topical, synths, danceable almost always a verve reminiscent of a total of LCD Soundsystem and the Talking Heads more experimental.
Pearls of the album in my opinion are "Blink And You'll Miss A Revolution" by the clear Caribbean flavor and more New York "Need You Now" which I am sure, will go crazy different dancefloors.
