Più che una recensione, oggi vorrei proporre un tributo su questo lavoro che rappresenta uno degli esperimenti più suggestivi e futuristici secondo gli addetti all'animazione dei "dancefloor" di tutto il mondo.
Discodeine è la sigla che corrisponde in carne ed ossa al duo transalpino composto da Benjamin Morando aka Pentile e sua maestà Cédric Marszewski aka Pilooski (scusate ma ho un debole per lui)uno degli artisti che più mi affascina da sempre.Attivi come coppia dal 2007 dopo tanta gavetta e dopo una serie infinita di release ufficiali e meno, approdano finalmente al grande pubblico con questo album di dodici tracce pubblicate dalla etichetta francese Pschent. Il suono poliedrico ed attualissimo rappresenta un manifesto del moderno "touch made in france" ma nonostante ciò è possibile decifrare diverse sfumature appartenenti alla migliore tradizione techno, e house. A dare maggior spessore al disco ci pensano la miriade di ospiti che hanno affiancato il duo francese, da Baxter Dury a Mathias Aguayo e per finire il grandissimo Jarvis Cocker cantautore raffinatissimo, già voce dei Pulp band simbolo del sound "Brit" degli anni novanta.

Discodeine is the acronym that corresponds to the French in the flesh and bones to Benjamin Morando "Pentile" and Cédric Marszewski aka Pilooski one of the artists who most always fascinated me.
Active as a couple since 2007 after a training period and after an endless series of official releases and not, finally calling the general public with this album of twelve tracks published by the French label Pschent. The sound is a eclectic and very modern manifesto of the modern "French touch", but nevertheless it is possible to decipher different tones belonging to the best traditions of techno and house. To give more depth to album think about the myriad of guests who have joined the French duo, Baxter Dury to Mathias Aguayo and finally refined the great singer-songwriter Jarvis Cocker, former Pulp voice of the band's sound symbol "Brit" of the nineties.
