Io è tanto che le ho messe in casa e per questo ne conosco bene pregi e difetti. Il risparmio economico è assicurato, la salvaguardia del lato estetico un po meno. Quei tubi intrecciati sono orrendi, non mi convincerete mai del contrario. Vogliamo poi parlare dell'effetto cimiteriale appena accendiamo l'interruttore, quei 5 minuti di luce crepuscolare? Lasciamo perdere..
Per fortuna adesso arriva Plumen, la lampadina a basso consumo, ma di design! Samuel Wilkinson ha pensato di invertire la tendenza: in genere compriamo le lampadine a risparmio energetico perchè obbligati (o per risparmiare o perchè non si trovano più le vecchie lampadine a incandescenza) ma mai perchè ci piacciano in se per sè. L'obiettivo è stato quindi quello di realizzare una lampadina che fosse attraente, un vero oggetto di design da esporre nelle nostre sale e non da nascondere dietro una plafoniera.
Il nome è un richiamo evidente agli uccelli, le piume sono sempre state sinonimo di bellezza e colore, un qualcosa di attraente, che attira la nostra attenzione. Venendo alle note dolenti: una lampadina Plumen costa un po più delle altre, 29 euro, ma si sa che le cose belle costano.
It's so much time that I've put in my house these bulbs and I know perfectly good qualities and defects. The cost saving is ensured, not the same for the preservation of the aestheticism. Those glass tubes twisted often are horrible. You never persuade me. Want to speak about the cemetery effect we get just turning the light? Those 5 minutes of twilight? Never mind...
Fortunately, now comes Plumen, the energy saving light designer bulbs. Samuel Wilkinson has decided to revers the trend: we usually buy energy saving bulbs being forced ( or to save money or because twe can't buy anymore the old incandescent bulbs), but never because we like them. The aim was to realize a light bulb what would be attractive, a true design object to be displayed in our room and not to hide in a lamp.
The name is a clear reference to birds, feathers have always been synonymous of beauty and colour, something attractive, that catches our attention. Time to bad news now: Plumen light bulb costs a little more than others bulbs, 29 €.. but you know that beautiful things are a bit expensive.
