I guru di Google hanno lanciato una competizione per i giovani studenti tra i 13 e i 18 anni. Un po la classica gara di scienze dei film americani, quella dove lo studente fico arriva sempre con il progetto favoloso e c'è sempre lo sfigato con il progetto che fa pena. Il Google Global Science Fair è una versione in grande di queste competizioni: è aperta agli studenti di tutto il mondo che abbiano un progetto, una buona idea o un esperimento da presentare. Potete partecipare inviando un video che non superi i 2 minuti, oppure con una presentazione composta da non più di 20 slide. C'è tempo fino al 4 aprile per iscriversi a una delle dieci categorie a vostra disposizione.
Il Google Global Science Fair nasce da un'idea dei fondatori di Big G in collaborazione con il CERN, National Geographic, Lego e Scientific America. I progetti in gara saranno valutati da un team di esperti e di docenti universitari che selezioneranno i finalisti, tra i quali il pubblico voterà il vero vincitore.

Sergey Brin e Larry Page hanno creato Google partendo da una ricerca universitaria su come fosse possibile migliorare le ricerche su internet, un messaggio ottimista per dire che tutti ce la possono fare.
