Come ogni anno in questo periodo, assieme alle ciliegie ed alle prime susine, cogliamo l’occasione di partecipare alla "4 Giorni Delle Arti".

Come ogni anno in questo periodo, assieme alle ciliegie ed alle prime susine, cogliamo l’occasione di partecipare alla "4 Giorni Delle Arti".
Pensata come momento di apertura della Facoltà a tutti gli ambienti culturali della città per allargare e approfondire il dibattito sui temi delle arti e dell’ architettura, la 4GDA ha cominciato negli ultimi anni ad affrontare tematiche più eterogenee, assumendo i contorni di evento unico nel panorama cittadino e universitario (cit. “per le nuove leve: trattasi della festa universitaria più grande di Ferrara!”).
Like every years in this period, together with the first cherries and plums, we grab the opportunity to participate to the “4 days of the art” (4GDA).
Intended like a moment to open the faculty to all the cultural spaces of the city, to enlarge and deepen the debate of art and architecture-related topics, the 4GDA has started in the last years to tackle more heterogeneous issues, assuming the shape of a unique event in the city and university environment (to the freshers: it’s the biggest university party in town!)

Da ormai sedici anni, gli studenti della Facoltà di Architettura di Ferrara si manifestano alla città, ma sempre più anche al mondo intero, approfittando di ogni mezzo di comunicazione esistente!
Questa è la terza edizione a cura dell’associazione culturale Basso Profilo, costituita da un gruppo di studenti che del basso profilo fanno un appello, un invito a considerare l'apporto delle piccole cose.

This is the third edition organized by the Basso Profilo (Low Profile) organization, formed by a students group who promote the low profile as an appeal, an invitation to consider the contribution of the small things.

Perché parlare di >>FF?
I miei fratelli avevano uno stereo bellissimo con giradischi mangianastri e, new entry, il lettore cd. Io usavo il mangianastri con la mia cassetta di Like a Prayer e il tasto “manda avanti” me lo ricordo bene: quando c’erano le canzoni più lente e romanticone, pigiavo >> e via! di corsa alla canzone successiva più danzerina!

My brothers had got a wonderful stereo with record player, tape player and, new entry, a CD player. I used to play my Like a Prayer cassette and I well remember the “fast forward” button: when there were the slow and romantic songs, I used to press >> and go! Quick to the next danceable song!

Ma qual è il significato di >>FF? Da dove viene?
Alla fine del 2010 il TIME ha cercato di rimettere in ordine la miriade di frammenti degli ultimi dieci anni: in una retrospettiva che si apre con un articolo dal titolo emblematico “Uno sguardo indietro al futuro”, si scrive di come il XXI secolo sia iniziato in Fast-forward e di come sia sentita la necessità di fermarsi un attimo per capire cosa sia veramente successo.
In Italia, lo stesso lavoro non porterebbe via molto tempo. FAST-FORWARD è un invito a darsi una mossa, a rimettere i buoi davanti al carro, a guardare più in là del nostro ombelico, a rimetterci in linea col presente, a trovare e ritrovare la nostra posizione nel mondo.

At the end of 2010 the Time tried to put together the multitude of fragments of the last 10 years: in a retrospective that opens up with an article emblematically titled “A look back into the future”, they talk about how the XXI century started in fast-forward, and how we all need to stop and understand what really happened.
In Italy such a retrospective wouldn’t take a long time: FAST-FORWARD is an invitation to shake up, to put the horses back ahead the cart, to look beyond our navel, to realign with the current times, to find and re-find our position into the world.
But what’s the meaning of >>FF? Where does it come from?

The 4GDA has been anticipated di Antequattro, a rich calendar of conferences, exhibitions, projections, performances and concerts opened to the whole town in various places of Ferrara’s city centre. Magic places like the Giardino delle Duchesse (Garden of Duchesses) that, despite being usually closed to the public, plays the role of an exceptional stage for the meeting between Ferrara and its students.
Da segnalare la collaborazione con Sonika, centro di partecipazione giovanile musicale dell’Assessorato alla Cultura e ai Giovani del Comune di Ferrara: all’interno della 4GDA si svolgerà infatti la prima edizione della rassegna musicale Play!Now! con giovani band emergenti ferraresi.
Gli studenti di architettura di Ferrara fanno le cose per bene.
Another sensational place for unforgettable evenings is the Sottomura park in via Baluardi, just behind the Architecture Faculty, where from 7 to 10 June concerts, dj-set and artistic performances will take place to pep up the 4GDA.

To be mentioned the collaboration with Sonika, Center for Youth Musical Participation from the Department of Culture and Youth of the Ferrara city council: inside the 4GDA it will take place the first edition of the music show Play!Now! with young emerging band from the city.
