Balloon Bench è semplicemente un divano in pelle. La vera peculiarità sta nel mazzo di palloncini fissati alle 2 estremità che ancorano (attraverso dei perni nascosti) la seduta al soffitto: in questo modo il divano è come sospeso, quasi come se fosse imprigionato nella stanza.
Baloon Bench è pensata e realizzata dai designers dello studio giapponese H220430 che si sono ispirati al film francese Le Balloon Rouge di Albert Lamorisse, vincitore della Palma d'oro a Cannes nel 1956. Il film, che vi consiglio di vedere, è un corto di animazione che narra l'amicizia tra un bambino parigino e, appunto, un palloncino rosso che trova imprigionato per strada.
