A DANGEROUS METHOD
Cronenberg descrive il ménage à trois intellettuale fra Sigmund Freud, Gustav Jung e la paziente Sabina Spielrein, che diventerà a sua volta psichiatra, entrando in profondità non solo nel rapporto fra Sabina e Jung, ma anche in quello fra maestro e discepolo, che si va costruendo fra Freud e Jung. Da sempre infatti il regista è interessato a storie in cui siano centrali l'animo umano e la sua complessità, e i sentimenti e le pulsioni che ne promuovono l'agire.
Cronenberg describes the intellectual ménage à trois between Sigmund Freud, Jung and the patient Sabina Spielrein (she will become a psychiatrist).The director goes deep into the relationship between Jung and Sabina, and that between master and disciple. In fact the director is always interested in stories focused on the human mind and its complexity, and feelings and impulses.

Girato a Linosa, anche se ambientato a Lampedusa, intorno a una famiglia di pescatori, una famiglia di frontiera che si trova a un bivio, chiamata a decidere il proprio futuro: mare o terra, pesca o turismo. Un film che disegna una biografia del Sud, che parla del nostro Paese, non solo dei migranti che sbarcano. E ci sono due donne, una isolana e una migrante, molto diverse, ma alla ricerca della stessa cosa, vittime degli stessi dolori. Crialese sa guardare al Sud, e narrare il Sud, forse perchè se ne è andato via da là, e perchè, grazie al suo sguardo surreale riesce a descrivere quello che è oggi: disprezzo per la natura e incapacità di raccontarsi.
Made in Linosa, although set in Lampedusa, the movie tells the story of a family of fishermen, that must choose its future: sea or land, fishing or tourism. The movie describes the biography of the South, talking about our country, not only of migrants. There are two women, one island and a migrant, very different, and they are looking for the same thing, victims of the same pains. Crialese tells about the South: he went away but is able to describe what it is today: contempt for nature and inability to tell.
